Washington, D.C. — Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, has been selected to serve as a Conferee to the Fiscal Year 2024 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). This significant appointment comes after Rep. Webster's vote in favor of H.R. 2670, a defense bill that stands out for its conservative and pragmatic approach, making it one of the most noteworthy defense bills developed by Congress in recent years.
"Providing for the common defense is one of the fundamental congressional responsibilities," expressed Rep. Webster. "I am honored to be named as a conferee to the NDAA conference committee. I look forward to working with my colleagues to ensure critical House policies and reforms are preserved. Together, we will collaborate with our Senate counterparts to guarantee that our servicemembers have the necessary resources and tools to maintain their status as the world's finest fighting force."
Due to his esteemed position as chairman of the Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation, Congressman Webster has been chosen as one of the two conferees from the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. He will be working alongside Transportation and Infrastructure Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO) in this crucial role.
