Washington, D.C. — On April 18, 2023 , Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, voted to override President Biden’s veto of H.J.Res 27 which blocked the Administration’s flawed, burdensome “Waters of the United States” (WOTUS) rule.

“Today, I voted to override President Biden’s veto of my resolution H.J.Res 27. Unfortunately, most of my Democrat colleagues failed to join a bipartisan majority to reverse the Biden Administration’s flawed WOTUS rule,” said Rep. Webster

“President Biden’s decision to veto legislation that received bipartisan support shows that he’s chosen to stand with radical environmental activists over American farmers, families and small businesses. Our resolution would ease regulatory burdens for small businesses, manufacturers, farmers, home and infrastructure builders, local communities, and everyday Americans. By reversing Biden’s WOTUS rule, Congress would also bring clarity to federal and state jurisdiction under the Clean Water Act.

“This is an issue that affects all Americans, and I will continue to push back against Federal overreach and work to restore the role of Congress.”
