AHS Announcements Week of 8/15:
We are excited for all students to dive into content specific curriculum this week. Please be sure you and your student have daily access to FOCUS as all student information related to grades, attendance, and behavior will be communicated via FOCUS.
All students met with administration last week to discuss school-wide processes and procedures. Please help us by reviewing the Student Handbook with your student to reinforce positive decision making. It is our goal to ensure every student is successful, involved in school activities, and has access to multiple opportunities following graduation!
SAVE THE DATE: Astronaut HS Open House - Wednesday, August 24th @ 6pm. Come meet your student’s teachers and learn more about the programs, activities, and opportunities at AHS!
Parents and families, please be sure your student is parking in their assigned parking spot. Additionally, if parents or families must park to come into the office, please use the visitor spots located directly in front of the school. Please do not park in a numbered spot as those are assigned to students.
The USDA waiver for free lunches has expired. Lunch is $2.50 for secondary students and $.40 for reduced students. You can conveniently fund your child's lunch account at www.mypaymentsplus.com. Parents are encouraged to apply for a Free or Reduced lunch option at www.brevardschools.org/page/3473.
Students wishing to participate in Cross Country (Coach O’Brien’s), Swimming and Diving (Coach Rendina), Bowling (Coach Deese), or Girl’s Golf (Coach Landers), please see Athletic Director Cheryl Shivel, Shivel.cheryl@brevardschools.org for more information ASAP!
We have important information regarding the preseason Football game at East River this Friday @ 7pm. Tickets can be purchased the following ways:
-Using the GoFan app - $7 admission and $1 service fee
-Cash at the gate for $9
