Washington, D.C. — Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, released a statement after voting to pass H.J.Res 165, which nullifies President Biden’s Title IX rule eliminating protections for women and girls.

“For over 50 years, Title IX has ensured women and girls have equal opportunities and protections in educational programs and activities,” said Rep. Webster. “The Biden Administration’s radical re-interpretation of Title IX effectively ends women’s sports and threatens the safety of women by allowing biological men to enter their bathrooms and locker rooms. This resolution repeals this terrible policy and ensures educational institutions continue to protect the safety of women and girls and their athletic programs.”

Rep. Webster co-introduced H.J.Res 165 on June 5, 2024, with Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) and over 65 of his House Republican colleagues.
