Florida Congressman Daniel Webster has cast his vote in favor of H.R. 115, the Midnight Rules Relief Act. This legislation aims to amend the Congressional Review Act (CRA) by enabling Congress to repeal multiple regulations through a single joint resolution.

Congressman Webster emphasized the importance of this bill as a means for Congress to reclaim its constitutional authority. "I’ve long advocated for Congress to take back its Constitutional authority, and this bill is a step in the right direction," said Rep. Webster. He further explained that addressing the unchecked implementation of 'midnight rules' ensures that regulations are representative of the American people's voice rather than that of unelected officials.

The current law allows for a Congressional joint resolution of disapproval to cover only one regulation submitted during the final 60 legislative days of a President’s term. The proposed bill seeks to expand Congress's ability by permitting them to disapprove multiple regulations simultaneously with a single resolution.
