Ocala Metro Chamber And Economic Partnership issued the following announcement on Jan. 19.
Marion County Supervisor of Elections is offering a Candidate Workshop for those interested in running for a local office in 2022 or learning about the candidate process.
The workshop will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at the Marion County Election Center located at 981 NE 16th Street, Ocala. Participants will learn about the fundamentals of the candidate process. Topics will cover steps to become a candidate, qualifying requirements, campaign finance, election law, and more.
Candidates, campaign staff, and members of the public are encouraged to attend. The workshop is free but space is limited.
