Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, representing Clermont, has cast his vote in favor of H.R. 77, known as the Midnight Rules Relief Act. This legislation aims to enhance congressional oversight and limit regulations introduced by outgoing administrations.

Rep. Webster expressed his support for the bill by stating, "I have long advocated for Congress to take back its constitutional authority to ensure that federal regulations align with the will of the people, not the whims of unelected bureaucrats." He further noted that the bill "strengthens oversight and prevents outgoing administrations from imposing costly, burdensome regulations in their final months without proper accountability."

The current law allows a Congressional joint resolution of disapproval to address only one regulation submitted during the last 60 legislative days of a President's term. The new bill seeks to empower Congress by enabling them to jointly disapprove multiple regulations through a single resolution.
