Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 30, known as the Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act. This legislation was co-introduced by Congressman Daniel Webster and aims to amend the Immigration and Nationality Act. The bill seeks to make individuals who commit or are convicted of sexual offenses or domestic violence inadmissible and deportable.

"Our nation’s immigration system should put the safety and security of its citizens first," said Rep. Webster. He emphasized that closing dangerous loopholes is essential in ensuring that those who commit reprehensible acts cannot exploit the immigration system to avoid accountability. "With the passage of H.R. 30, House Republicans are sending a clear message that the United States prioritizes the safety of its citizens, especially women and children, above all else."
