Washington, D.C. — Florida Congressman Daniel Webster announced today that his office has returned over $2 million to constituents in 2024. These funds were secured for individuals who sought assistance with issues related to the IRS, VA, Social Security, and other federal agencies.
“Providing my constituents with first-class assistance with issues involving federal agencies is one of my top priorities,” said Rep. Webster. “Too often, Americans attempting to secure the veteran benefits, IRS or Social Security payments they have earned are met with delays. I am pleased that we have been able to intercede on behalf of so many constituents to ensure they receive the services and compensation they have earned.”
Webster’s constituent services staff work closely with agency liaisons on behalf of constituents to answer questions, find solutions, or navigate bureaucratic obstacles. Recently, a veteran in Lake County contacted Rep. Webster for help with his benefits. The congressman’s office liaised with the VA and remained in contact throughout the appeals process. Ultimately, the matter was resolved and the veteran received a retroactive payment exceeding $70,000.
Since January 2017, Webster's efforts have resulted in more than $23 million being returned to constituents in owed compensation, pensions, or other retroactive payments.
