Washington, D.C. — Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, released a statement after voting to pass H.R. 1023, the Cutting Green Corruption and Taxes Act, legislation that repeals the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, and proposed tax on natural gas.

"Today I voted to repeal Democrats $27 billion ‘green new deal’ slush fund," said Rep. Webster. "Rather than investing to restore American energy independence, Democrats so-called Inflation Reduction Act created a $27 billion ‘green bank’ that results in taxpayer dollars going to far-left political organizations and the Chinese Communist Party! This bill eliminates this slush fund, ensuring that American taxpayer dollars aren’t ending up in the hands of the Chinese government."
