Washington, D.C. — Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, was recently awarded with the Guardian of Seniors’ Rights Award from 60 Plus Association, the American Association of Senior Citizens for his commitment to protecting the rights of American senior citizens.
“Delivering on our promises to seniors is one of my top priorities,” said Rep. Webster. “As a senior myself, I know what many of my constituents face on a day-to-day basis as inflation has impacted seniors - especially those on a fixed income - particularly hard. America’s seniors have been contributing to the Social Security and Medicare trust funds for years with the assurance that they would be able to count on benefits when they retire. I am committed to protecting these programs, keeping our promises to seniors and doing what I can to preserve retirement security for every generation.”
“Whenever we have needed you, we have always been able to count on your help,” said Saul Anuzis, President of the American Association of Senior Citizens. “Your work on behalf of America’s seniors exemplifies public service at its best.”
“Few fight the fight for seniors as you have,” said Jim Martin, Founder and Chairman. “Your willingness to fight and protect Social Security and Medicare is much appreciated.”
Every year the 60 Plus Association gives the coveted Guardian of Seniors’ Rights Award to outstanding existing elected officials and aspiring political upstarts who have demonstrated their commitment to protecting the rights of our precious American senior citizens.
