Clermont, FL — Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, released the following statement on the Supreme Court’s decisions in 303 Creative LLC v. Elenis and Biden v. Nebraska.

“On June 30, 2023 decisions from the Supreme Court represent momentous victories for our Freedom of Speech, Religious Liberty, and the Separation of Powers. Having signed an amicus brief defending 303 Creatives First Amendment rights I am thrilled with the Supreme Court’s decision. Their decision recognizes that the government cannot compel speech, and that the First Amendment protect the ‘freedom to think as you will and to speak as you think.’”

“And as a staunch advocate for protecting the Separation of Powers and reining in executive overreach, I’m encouraged the Court ended Biden's unconstitutional student loan bailout – affirming that President’s cannot spend billions of taxpayer dollars without Congress’ approval. Today is a good day for those working to uphold the United States Constitution and the rights of all Americans.”
