Washington, D.C. — Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, released the following statement on today’s release of Special Counsel John Durham’s report, in which he concluded the DOJ, FBI “failed to uphold their mission of strict fidelity to the law.”

“President Trump was right all along. The Durham Report confirms that the Russia collusion hoax targeting President Trump was false, and the result of an elaborate plan led by the Hillary Clinton Campaign, pursued by those in the highest ranks at the FBI and repeated without question by the lefts’ greatest mouthpieces - the mainstream media. Even President Obama and then Vice President Biden were aware and failed to hold anyone accountable.

“When government officials fail to abide by the boundaries set by U.S. law and the Constitution, there must be accountability. Those who perpetrated this hoax on the American people must go to jail.

“I’m pleased to see that Chairman Jim Jordan has already invited Mr. Durham to appear before the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government. I have long called for accountability for the actions of corrupt individuals, and for Congress to reform the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) to better protect Americans citizens’ personal liberty.”
