Webster Announces 2023 Congressional Art Competition Winners

Clermont, FL — Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, recently announced the 2023 Congressional Art Competition winners for Florida District 11. Arden Yu of Dr. Phillips High School in Orange County is the first-place winner and will have his artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol. 

“Each year, I am impressed with the talent of our high school students and encouraged by the teachers and administrators that participate in this program,” said Rep. Webster. “The judges and I were in awe of the artwork submitted by 122 students from across District 11. I look forward to displaying the artwork from this year’s winners in my district and Washington, D.C. offices.”

122 students from across the district participated in this year’s competition depicting: The Wonders of Florida. The Congressional Art Competition is open to all high school students in Florida’s 11thCongressional District. Since 1982, over 650,000 high school students have participated in the nationwide competition to recognize artistic talent. The U.S. Capitol exhibit in Washington will include winning artwork from other congressional districts nation-wide. The second-place winning artwork will be displayed in Congressman Webster’s Washington, D.C. office. The Third-place winning artwork and individual county winners will have their artwork displayed in the Congressman’s district offices.
