Leesburg Elementary School issued the following announcement on Jan. 22.
Attention all LELA families: You will be receiving a flyer coming home tomorrow about our One Book, One School Community Read. Every student, faculty, and staff member will be receiving a copy of the book, Ways to Make Sunshine, by Renee Watson.
We will be reading this book as a whole school community beginning this Friday until the end of the school year. Chapters of the book will be read by our faculty and staff members and posted on our school’s Facebook page so our school families can follow along as well.
Each month, there will be family activities that tie to the chapters of the book that we are currently reading. We hope that everyone will participate in the family activities, and we will be posting them around the school. Let’s celebrate literacy and enjoy reading together!
