Astronaut High School issued the following announcement on Jun. 28.

Are you interested in taking Dance as an elective at Astronaut HS?  Dance Techniques is a 1.0 (yearlong) credit course that meets the graduation requirement for Fine and Performing Arts.  This course will be taught by Ms. Bailey Ferguson, Astronaut High School alumni, who graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Dance Performance and Choreography from Palm Beach Atlantic University.  This course welcomes students of all skill levels (beginner to advanced) to discover and explore movement through a variety of techniques such as hip hop, jazz, ballet, and contemporary.  Students will learning self-awareness of physical movement as well as positive wellness practices.  Students will analyze movements of past to present genres and develop artistic expression through emotion.
