AHS Announcements Week of 1/24:
Do you have or know an incoming 9th grader or any students interested in attending Astronaut High School? This Tuesday, January 25th, we will be hosting the Astronaut Expo at 6:30pm at Astronaut High School in the Auditorium. The expo will showcase all of our academic, extracurricular, and athletic programs with student performances. Families will have an opportunity to meet our students, staff, and see everything our amazing school has to offer. In addition, Astronaut is hosting Food Trucks open to the public from 5:30-8pm!!! Forget cooking and come enjoy Burger Robs, OMG Hibachi, Heavenly Seafood, and Yeti Ice! Please help us spread the word about the Astronaut Expo to your family, friends, and neighbors!
The SAT will be given to all 11th graders for FREE during the school day on Wednesday, March 2nd. Any 9th, 10th or 12th grader that would like to take advantage of taking the SAT during the school day, for a concordant score or college entrance score, needs to see Mrs. Muldowney during Astro Hour with $55 cash or check ($8 for students approved for Free and Reduced Lunch) made out to Astronaut HS. This is a great opportunity that every Senior who had not earned a concordant score for graduation should take advantage of! The deadline to sign up is Friday, January 28th.
The last day to purchase the yearbook is Friday, January 28th. Yearbooks are $90 and must be purchased online at www.jostensyearbooks.com. We do not order additional yearbooks so this is your last chance to reserve your copy!
For the safety of all students and staff, if your student has tested positive for COVID or is exhibiting any illness related symptoms you should call the front office at 321-264-3000 to verify return dates aligned with the Department of Health. Reported absences (in advance or day of) due to COVID or symptomatic illnesses will be excused.
