On Sunday, March 16, former East Ridge High School standout Corey Battey’s current college team, the Prairie View A&M Panthers, won 9-5 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Jackson State Tigers.

The game took place at John W. Tankersley Field. This was their fourth matchup against the Tigers this season.

The Panthers’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 19 at 2 p.m. at John W. Tankersley Field against Texas A&M Corpus Christi Islanders.
