On Wednesday, March 12, former Montverde Academy standouts Matthew Heyl and Salvador Alvarez’s current college team, the Stetson Hatters, won 9-7 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the USC Upstate Spartans.

The game took place at Melching Field at Conrad Park. This was their second matchup against the Spartans this season.

The Hatters’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 14 at 6:30 p.m. at Melching Field at Conrad Park against Florida Gulf Coast Eagles.
