On Friday, Feb. 28, former Montverde Academy standout Angel Lopez’s current college team, the Bethune–Cookman Wildcats, won 7-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks.

The game took place at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. This was their first matchup against the Hawks this season.

The Wildcats’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 3 p.m. at Jackie Robinson Ballpark against Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks.
