Daniel Webster, U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 11th district, has recently highlighted local law enforcement recognition, legislative activity in Congress, and military service acknowledgments through a series of posts on his official social media account.
On January 13, 2026, Webster commended the Polk County Sheriff’s Office by posting: “Great to see @PolkCoSheriff honored in this way.”
The following day, January 14, 2026, Webster addressed his legislative actions regarding federal spending: “Today I voted to pass H.R. 7006, a commonsense spending bill that rejects the Washington presumption that nothing can be cut from the budget in order to fund conservative priorities without increasing the deficit. This bill cuts spending below FY25 levels, protects consumers,”
On January 15, 2026, Webster extended congratulations to a member of the U.S. Coast Guard: “Congratulations Admiral Lunday! Thank you for your continued service to our nation. I look forward to continuing to work together. God bless the @USCG.”
Daniel Webster has served as a member of Congress since 2011 after replacing Alan Grayson and previously held positions in both chambers of the Florida legislature from 1980 until 2008. Born in Charleston, West Virginia in 1949 and currently residing in Clermont at age 74, Webster is an alumnus of Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree obtained in 1971.
