Daniel Webster, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 11th district since 2011, used his Twitter account in February 2026 to highlight recent legislative actions and economic developments. In a series of posts, Webster addressed tax relief for seniors, the positive impact of new tax legislation on the economy, and criticized Democratic actions regarding disaster relief funding.
On February 10, 2026, Webster posted about changes affecting seniors filing taxes: “When seniors file their taxes this year, they’ll receive an additional $6,000 tax deduction thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts I voted to pass and @POTUS signed into law. The following day, he commented on the January jobs report: “January’s jobs report exceeds expectations, with strong growth in key sectors like manufacturing that power America’s economy. It’s clear – the Working Families Tax Cuts I voted to pass and @POTUS signed into law, is delivering a stronger economy, empowering job creators, and” (February 11, 2026).
Later that day, Webster criticized Democrats over disaster relief funding: “Democrats are once again playing politics with DHS funding, blocking critical FEMA resources that help Floridians recover from hurricanes and natural disasters. Instead of helping Americans, Democrats are using disaster relief as leverage to appeal to their radical base. https://t.co/dzxMfJBAiZ” (February 11, 2026).
Daniel Webster has represented Florida’s 11th District in Congress since replacing Alan Grayson in 2011. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in both chambers of the Florida legislature from 1980 through 2008. Born in Charleston, West Virginia in 1949 and currently residing in Clermont at age 74, Webster holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia Institute of Technology.
