Daniel Webster, U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 11th district since 2011, posted a series of tweets on October 3 and 4, 2025, addressing legislative disputes in Congress and recent developments regarding peace negotiations involving Hamas.
On October 3, Webster commented on ongoing legislative tensions between Republicans and Democrats in the Senate. He stated, “There’s nothing in this bill Democrats oppose, but Senate Democrats are blocking its passage because they’re mad at our reforms passed earlier this year.” The same day, he posted another message expressing gratitude: “Thank you Doug!”
The following day, Webster addressed international affairs related to the Middle East. In a tweet dated October 4, he wrote: “After years of stalemate and grief, President @realDonaldTrump has shown what decisive leadership can achieve. Webster has been a member of Congress for over a decade after replacing Alan Grayson in 2011. Before his tenure in the U.S. House of Representatives for Florida’s 11th District, he served in both chambers of the Florida legislature from 1980 through 2008. Born in Charleston, West Virginia in 1949 and currently residing in Clermont at age 74, Webster holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia Institute of Technology.
